Child Safety and Anti-CSAE Standards — HiA App by Hosted in Africa Group Limited

Purpose and scope
Hosted in Africa Group Limited operates HiA App. These standards apply to all users and all content in or linked from HiA App, including text, images, video, audio, links, usernames, bios, comments, messages, and AI-generated media.
Definitions
- Minor: any person under 18 years of age.
- CSAE: Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation. This includes CSAM, grooming, sexualization of minors, sextortion, trafficking, and facilitation.
Zero-tolerance prohibitions
You may not create, upload, share, request, promote, or link to:
- CSAM or any CSAE content.
- Sexualized depictions of minors, real or fictional, including cartoons, anime, stylized, or AI-generated content.
- Content that sexualizes young-looking persons even if labeled “18+.”
- Grooming, enticement, or sextortion of minors.
- Guides, services, or transactions that exploit minors.
- Codewords, hashtags, or search terms used to trade or signal CSAE.
- Off-platform links, files, or contact handles intended to share CSAE.
Enforcement
- Detection: automated and human review.
- Actions: immediate removal, account suspension or ban, device and IP restrictions, and permanent deletion of repeat offenders.
- Reporting: we report apparent CSAE to relevant authorities and hotlines (e.g., NCMEC or national equivalents) and cooperate with law enforcement.
- Preservation: we preserve and disclose data as required by law for investigations.
User safeguards
- In-app tools to report content or users from any post or profile (see our Policy regarding – objectionable behaviour https://www.hostedinafrica.com/the-hia-way)
- Blocking and muting controls.
- Priority review for child-safety reports /
Age protections
- No sexual content involving minors.
- No solicitation of sexual images from or of minors.
- No romantic or sexual role-play with minors or young-appearing characters.
Creator and developer obligations
- Do not attempt to re-upload removed material.
- Do not evade enforcement or age rules.
- Developers, moderators, and staff for HiA App follow these standards and required reporting laws.
Appeals
If your content was removed for CSAE, you may appeal once via appeals@hia-network.com. We will not restore content that violates these standards or the law.
Amendments
Hosted in Africa Group Limited may update these standards. The latest version is always available via this link Child Safety Policy
