@desirea Well said!! And yes of course these are sentiments that have been hared time and again, but we must not stop until the 54th penny has dropped with the resulting ripples cascading into marauding waves.
Our continental unity is not a rocket science, more an expression of common sense. It is why these types of echoing calls to the community are so important, acting as rhythmic beats of the drum, encouraging common movements, exchanges from across our lands – momentum pulsates even when the goal can seem some distance away.
That being said, we have every reason to remain optimistic about Global Africa’s future and our youth and growing population will have something large to say about this in times sooner than we think.

I have just published a short piece on last week’s UN vote on the “Correct the Map” resolution. It looks at how African countries have now won two UN votes in six months using the same approach: one country acting on behalf of all 54 African states, the AU Commission preparing the ground, one clear request, and African countries staying united. Ghana did it in March on the slavery resolution. Togo did it in September on the map.
My call is simple. We must now apply the same approach to our own major challenges, including peace and security, rule of law, social justice , mineral negotiations, financing the African Union etc.
