AI Security and Discourse in Global Africa: A Community-led Dialogue

Purpose:
To create an inclusive and continental space for African and African diaspora
communities to discuss the current conversations, concerns, and initiatives around AI
and security.
The session will be dialogical rather than didactic, fostering collective
exploration and listening.

 

Objectives:
• Understand local, regional, and diaspora narratives on AI and security.
• Explore how youth from different regions conceptualize risk, opportunity, and agency.
• Introduce comparative perspectives from outside Africa (USA, Brazil, China).
• Begin surfacing themes for deeper analysis in the June 12 webinar.
